01 — Selected work

Five projects, one profile.

01 — Formula Student · Chassis

Leading the Chassis area in a Formula Student team.

Tecnun eRacing — Formula Student

2021–2024 · Chassis Team Lead (2022–2024)

Design, manufacturing, testing and competition — all inside the Chassis area of Tecnun eRacing.

As Chassis lead, I turned simulation results, track data and manufacturing constraints into decisions for the next iteration.

01 — Design: Testing & validation

Evidence behind the chassis decisions

Physical testing and analysis used to validate designs and assess structural performance.

Safety and Rules compliance

Physical tests on LabVIEW-controlled rigs.

Seatbelt insert test

Physical validation of one of the safety-critical load cases.

Shear test

Observing laminate behaviour and failure modes under shear loading.

Impact attenuator test

Crash-related validation used to confirm the expected response.

Test output

Interpretation of results to decide lamination design.

Chassis CAD

Geometry, packaging and structural constraints translated into design intent.

02 — Fabrication

From carbon fiber layup to autoclave curing

Layup, vacuum preparation and control and curing sequence.

Carbon layup

Placing plies with fibre orientation, sequence and consistency under control.

Post-layup inspection

Checking the stack for successful curing cycles.

Vacuum process timelapse

A compressed view of bagging and vacuum consolidation.

Vacuum monitoring

Controlling pressure through the consolidation process.

Autoclave curing

The monocoque ready to cure under controlled temperature and pressure.

After autoclave

The cured monocoque, where the process becomes a tangible result.

03 — Results

Final outcome and competition context

The final monocoque outcome and the team/competition context around the chassis work.

Monocoque render

A clear view of the structural core.

With the chassis

Owning the area also meant owning the final outcome.

Team dynamics

Humour and energy were also part of making the project sustainable.

With the award

A personal milestone inside a team achievement.

With teammate

The people side of all the technical pressure.

Podium

A visible result after the invisible part of the work.

Award moment

Collective recognition at the end of a very long cycle.

02 — Software & Product

03 — Industrial Software

Turning complex engineering workflows into software.

Master's Thesis

A web platform for managing training-simulator projects from end to end combining software engineering and translating technical requirements into a working application.

  • React
  • ASP.NET Core
  • C#

04 — Composite Structures

Insert design & experimental validation.

Bachelor's Thesis

PAHT CF15 3D-printed inserts for carbon-fiber monocoque structure. Measured material behaviour, performed FEA, topology optimization, fabrication and mechanical testing.

  • FEA
  • Topology Optimization
  • 3D Printing

EXPERIMENTAL MATERIAL CHARACTERIZATION

Manufacturer datasheets don't reflect the realities of 3D printing conditions.
I performed physical tensile testing to extract real-world mechanical properties, ensuring the structural simulation was based on empirical data, not assumptions.

TENSILE TESTING

Optimized insert and validation

Using the empirical data, I simulated and topologically optimized the insert to meet a precise target value.
The final component was printed and tested inside a carbon fiber specimen.
The results successfully validated the simulation.
